All my life I have loved the natural world and have pursued my interests through academia. I completed a PhD in Ecology back in 2016 and have focussed my studies on ornithology. I have been lucky enough to travel the world with bird related field work, spending time in South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Cameroon, Poland and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
After years in a desk based job I decided to take the leap and retrain in Horticulture. I am working at a plant nursery and doing garden maintenance work all while studying for my RHS Level 2 qualifications.

I am absolutely passionate about helping the natural world. A major reason behind my career change was to try to marry together my two passions of gardening and ecology to create beautiful gardens that can still help wildlife. Even the smallest outdoor spaces can become a haven for wildlife and I think that is very exciting.
